IBEDA hose coupling-systems PUSH or PULL
IBEDA hose couplings with top-hat sealing are available as PUSH or PULL system. Depending upon their wishes, the users can choose from two locking systems. The construction of the coupling bodies is absolutely identical but the handling during coupling and uncoupling varies, i.e. the moving direction of the locking sleeve is different.

With the IBEDA quick coupling (hose coupling) according to EN 561 / ISO 7289 with push system, the locking sleeve is to be pushed to connect or disconnect the coupling pin.

With the IBEDA quick coupling (hose coupling) according to EN 561 / ISO 7289 with pull system, the locking sleeve is to be pulled to connect or disconnect the coupling pin.

Coupling system information
IBEDA gas hose-couplings are BAM tested and are subjected to a 100% function-test. IBEDA also offers hose couplings with larger diameters for higher flow rates. Furthermore, the quick-action couplings are available integrated into flashback arrestors.
The IBEDA quick-action coupling has passed a voluntary specially designed endurance test which has just been carried out by BAM (The Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing) where 6000 cycles have been performed.
Compared to the 1000 test cycles which are actually required to the standard, the quick-couplings are still fully operational and gas tight even after performing 6000 test cycles. Thus, the IBEDA hose couplings set the new standard for the welding technology and are especially suitable for heavy duty applications.
During the test, the IBEDA products provided 5-times longer durability than it is required to the standard. Therefore, the quick-action couplings are ideal for all standard applications for the welding and gas industry. And they are especially suitable for heavy duty applications, such as steel industry, ship yards, offshore or strip mining.
The EN561/ ISO7289 IBEDA quick-action couplings have been tested for endurance according to the EN 561, para 7.7., based on the test procedure described in para 9.7. After performing 6000 test cycles, a test for gas tightness as per para 7.2 has been carried out proving the couplings still to be fully operational and gas tight.
