HELD A MEETING AT IBEDA

POLICY PAPER ABOUT THE USE OF FLASHBACK ARRESTORS WAS ADOPTED

In March 2018 the European Welding Association (EWA) held a meeting at IBEDA concerning the use of flashback arrestors. The EWA is an international industrial association bringing together the European manufacturers of welding equipment and accessories and the different associations of the welding industry. All EWA members have committed themselves to respect the EWA guideline "EWA Code of Conduct".

The EWA meets also at member companies' premises regularly - recently at IBEDA in Neustadt.
As a result of the meeting, the policy paper about the use of flashback arrestors was adopted. This paper should be a guideline for all users, also in countries not having official regulations in this regard. It can be helpful information about the safety requirements on safe workplaces for welding and cutting. As soon as this document is published, we will also make it available on the IBEDA website.
